ZETSON Editorial Policy

Last Updated: September 23, 2026

ZETSON is an independent digital publication covering Science, Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Innovation and Space.

This Editorial Policy explains the standards we aim to follow when researching, writing, editing and publishing content.

1. Our Editorial Goal

Our goal is to make complex scientific and technological developments understandable without sacrificing important context.

We aim to answer three basic questions:

What happened?

What do we know?

Why does it matter?

2. Sources

Depending on the subject, we may use sources including:

  • peer-reviewed scientific papers;
  • research institutions;
  • universities;
  • government agencies;
  • space agencies;
  • official technical documentation;
  • company announcements;
  • regulatory bodies;
  • recognised experts;
  • publicly available datasets;
  • reputable news organisations.

For important scientific claims, we prefer primary or authoritative sources where reasonably available.

3. Scientific Research

A published research paper does not automatically establish a scientific fact.

When appropriate, we distinguish between:

  • established findings;
  • new research;
  • preliminary research;
  • preprints;
  • hypotheses;
  • expert opinions;
  • projections;
  • unresolved questions.

We aim to avoid presenting preliminary findings as settled scientific consensus.

4. Technology and Company Claims

Company announcements and product claims may describe expected capabilities rather than independently verified results.

Where relevant, we identify information as a company claim rather than presenting it as an independently established fact.

Specifications and capabilities may change after publication.

5. Artificial Intelligence

AI is part of both our subject matter and our production workflow.

ZETSON may use AI tools for:

  • brainstorming;
  • research assistance;
  • summarisation;
  • drafting assistance;
  • editing assistance;
  • headline or structural suggestions;
  • image creation or visual concepts.

AI-generated information may contain factual errors, fabricated sources or misleading statements.

We therefore do not treat AI output as inherently reliable.

Human editorial review remains responsible for the final published material.

6. AI-Generated Images

Some ZETSON images may be generated or assisted by AI.

Such images may be illustrative rather than photographic.

We do not intend to present an AI-generated illustration as a genuine photograph or documentary record.

When visual accuracy is important, readers should rely on the underlying source rather than assuming that an illustrative image represents the exact appearance of an object, event or person.

7. Corrections

If we identify a significant factual error, we may correct the article.

Readers may report potential errors by contacting:

contact@zetson.com

Correction requests should include:

  • the article URL;
  • the specific statement in question;
  • an explanation of the problem;
  • reliable evidence supporting the correction.

We do not guarantee that every correction request will result in a change.

8. Updates

Some stories change after publication.

Where an important development materially changes an article’s accuracy, we may update the article and, where appropriate, indicate that it has been updated.

Older articles may contain information that was accurate when published but later became outdated.

9. Headlines

We aim for headlines that accurately reflect the article.

We do not intentionally use misleading headlines simply to generate clicks.

10. Editorial and Advertising Separation

Advertising does not determine our editorial conclusions.

ZETSON may use Google AdSense and other advertising systems.

Advertisements are not editorial endorsements.

If ZETSON introduces sponsored content, paid partnerships or other commercial editorial arrangements in the future, the commercial nature of such content will be disclosed where appropriate.

11. Conflicts of Interest

We aim to identify and avoid conflicts that could materially affect editorial independence.

Where a relevant conflict cannot reasonably be avoided, we may disclose it.

12. Product and Technology Coverage

ZETSON may discuss products, technologies and companies without receiving payment from the subject of the article.

A company being mentioned does not mean that the company has approved or endorsed the article.

ZETSON currently does not operate a paid product-review programme.

13. Reader Comments

ZETSON uses Disqus for reader comments.

Comments represent the views of their authors and do not necessarily represent ZETSON’s views.

We may remove comments that violate our rules or applicable law.

14. Intellectual Property

We aim to respect copyright, trademarks and other intellectual-property rights.

We may link to or quote third-party material where appropriate and lawful.

Images and other media may come from sources such as licensed stock libraries, public-domain sources or AI-generation tools, depending on the particular material.

If you believe an image or other material has been used improperly, contact:

copyright@zetson.com

15. Independence

ZETSON’s editorial decisions are intended to remain independent from advertisers, technology companies, public-relations organisations and other commercial interests.

We do not guarantee favourable coverage in exchange for advertising or commercial relationships.

16. Corrections and Editorial Contact

Questions about editorial accuracy or standards should be sent to:

contact@zetson.com

Copyright concerns should be sent to:

copyright@zetson.com

Business enquiries should be sent to:

business@zetson.com

17. Continuous Review

Editorial standards may evolve as ZETSON grows.

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in our publishing practices, technology, audience or applicable standards.
